FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) — NASA says it has selected West Virginia University Research Corporation of Morgantown to provide operations and maintenance services at the agency's Independent Verification and Validation Facility in Fairmont.
The total value of the five-year contract is $40 million.
Under the contract, the West Virginia University Research Corporation will operate and maintain the facility. That includes providing institutional, grounds keeping and janitorial services, information technology services and equipment, and facilities maintenance.
The facility with about 270 employees works to ensure mission-critical software operates reliably and safely and to advance areas of systems and software engineering.
