WVU meeting with high school students, families

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University is sending representatives across the state over the next two months to meet with high school students and their families.

The admissions office is conducting a "Face to Face with WVU" event for in-state juniors and seniors on Wednesday night at the state Culture Center in Charleston. Another event is set for Thursday night at the Parkersburg Art Center.

Additional meetings are scheduled for Oct. 22 at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley, Oct. 29 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Shepherdstown, and Nov. 5 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of WVU's colleges and several offices, including admissions, financial aid, housing and scholarships.
