Since both parties are of legal age, both should have their names mentioned.

Well I hope the new Superintendent gets some backing soon. But as usual elected officials are just winners of popularity contest, not always the best qualified!

Seems to me we have zero tolerance for student behavior, why is it not the same for teachers?

ImJustSayin - you are absolutely correct. This is not a new problem in our schools. I remember 20+ years ago, there were at least three employee/student "couples" that I knew of, and nothing ever happened to the employees. It was not a big secret.

WOW cant believe this. Its NEVER happened before... NOT! Sounds like the new "Super" wants to do the right thing but the "good ole boy" system is still standing in the way. Somethings Im afraid will never change.

I saw a commercial for WWVA radio the other day. He stated a male Wetzel County teacher had been caught in a compromising position with an 18 year old female student. I didn't catch the show. Perhaps this is what this article is about. This would be a personnel matter and not public. Since the student was 18, I assume it is not a police matter.

Now that I am a registered voter in Wetzel County I will be sure and NOT vote for any of these clowns on the board now. They continue to let our children get raped!!! When will it end. There is more going on at that school than people know about. More than one teacher that needs fired!

I agree, fromafar! This article is not worth the time it took to write it. The Wetzel Chronicle should be ashamed.

Uh nice article, no name of the employee, no mention of his/her misdoings. Nice journalism Ms. Riggs...nice. Why even bother wasting the time to write this up?
