
| | MHS Joins Fight Against Breast Cancer This FridayOctober 20, 2010 - Other News Magnolia High School will join the fight against breast cancer. During the football game against Barnesville on Oct. 22 at Magnolia’s Alumni Field, the Eagles and their fans will promote breast cancer screening and support breast cancer survivors. Special in-stadium and pre-game events have been planned to raise awareness of the disease. Fans can expect to see all of the football players, band members and cheerleaders supporting breast cancer awareness by donning pink ribbons and pink attire. Coaches also will be wearing pink ribbons and the cheerleaders will be throwing pink footballs and bracelets to the fans. Band members will be performing their halftime show in honor of those who have or are currently fighting breast cancer. Fundraising for breast cancer will also be done by selling specialty pink ribbon items at the concession stands and by collecting money from the crowd during the second quarter of the football game. All proceeds from specialty items and donations will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Lee Ann Foundation. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
