Hands to Help Needs You! Deadline for Applications Aug 4

The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce wants “Hands to Help” with a new program! This year’s event, sponsored entirely by Williams, will be held August 18 from 6 – 8 pm at the Lewis Wetzel Family Center. The Hands to Help program is designed to foster economic development in our area.

Hands to Help is open to projects by individuals, organizations, or businesses that would positively impact a community in Wetzel, Tyler, and Monroe Counties.

Any and all projects are welcome to apply, and four (4) will be chosen to showcase their projects to all those who attend. The audience will select the winner. The prize is $1500 plus the proceeds from admissions ($5 at the door plus an additional $5 if you want one minute to present your own idea to the audience – no political speeches allowed but you can certainly advertise your upcoming event or business).

Application Submission Deadline: August 4, 2015

We realize your project may take a while to complete. Please fill out the Hands to Help application in full and submit to: Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce, P O Box 271 / 201 Main Street, New Martinsville, WV 26155. Chamber Office phone number: 304-455-3825 for questions or information.

Projects can range from art installations to fixing potholes. Any and all projects are welcome to apply, but only 4 will be chosen to present. Project cannot benefit one individual.

Hands to Help is a program of the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce and this year’s event is sponsored entirely by Williams. The Chambers mission is: “The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce exists to create value for communities by increasing understanding, appreciation and promotion of the assets and opportunities in Wetzel County and surrounding areas.”
